Valkie 64 PC Game 2022 Overview:

The game is based on Zelda from Nintendo 64, which the devs do not hide. You can feel the atmosphere of Nintendo 64 and Zelda, the game is as simple as building a flail.

Valkie 64 is an action-adventure inspired by action-adventure games from the Nintendo 64 era. Play as the guardian Valkie and rescue the realm of Celisa. Visit towns, help villagers, upgrade your gear and conquer dungeons! While Valkie 64 is not nearly as flawlessly executed as the series it draws its inspiration from and doesn’t add anything particularly groundbreaking; it’s still a heartfelt and almost bug-free indie-tribute to the earlier entries in Nintendo’s long running series.

Much of the base game is pretty fun overall. It’s got pretty simple combat and a simple story. There are some issues worth addressing, particularly, the fast travel mechanic not existing at all. I think having this implemented would make travelling to different worlds in the hub easier, unless I’m missing something. The quests are pretty fun and you get pretty nice rewards, such as upgrades to your weapon, armour, wallet, etc. Again, it’s made much more tedious with no fast travel. No real big issues with the music at all, though the boss battles tend to get really loud and I don’t believe I’ve seen options for adjusting the audio. It’s definitely worth the money if you’re looking for an action adventure game with graphics that are purposely meant to be similar to the N64.
